Has Amit Shah warned Tamilisai Soundararajan publicly? Viral video triggers speculations amid Tamil Nadu BJP rumblings

Vijayawada/IBNS: Union Home Minister and BJP top leader Amit Shah was on Wednesday caught speaking to his party leader from Tamil Nadu, Tamilisai Soundararajan, in a stern manner, leaving netizens speculate it as a warning over the recent rumblings within the saffron unit.

The scene was captured from the oath-taking ceremony of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada.

In the viral video, Soundararajan was seen greeting former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, then Shah and heading towards others.

Shah was seen calling back Soundararajan and speaking to her in a seemingly angry way. Shah's gesture suggests a warning from him to Soundararajan.

Though what Shah has exactly said is not known but netizens speculate it as a warning linking it to Soundararajan's recent comments against the BJP state leaders in a recent interview.

Though Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his BJP had pinned hope on Tamil Nadu, the party drew a blank despite improving its vote share.

Following the drubbing, Soundararajan in her recent comments alleged some antisocial elements have been inducted to the state camp, in an indirect dig at unit president K Annamalai.

Both Annamalai and Soundararajan had unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha polls in Tamil Nadu, which is ruled by DMK.

BJP's growth in Tamil Nadu

The BJP-led NDA may have drawn a blank in Tamil Nadu in the Lok Sabha elections but achieved its best ever performance when it comes to vote share, after its supreme leader Narendra Modi campaigned hard in the state with his frequent visits.

Without the support of any major Dravidian players, the NDA has achieved 18.27% though it failed to open its account.

The NDA has fared best in the southern part of the state, which has 39 seats up for grabs. The coalition has recorded 22.27% votes in southern Tamil Nadu.
