Davos, Jan 23 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is known for his sense of humour and Australian actor Cate Blanchett finds no escape to it.

Khan, while receiving the Crystal Award in Davos on Monday, delivered a speech which began with a sense of humour.

The actor said Cate, who has also been awarded at the Crystal Awards Ceremony organised by the World Economic Forum, commands his heart like many others.

Asking for a selfie, he said: "Just a special request that before you (Cate) go can I do a selfie (with you)? Now that embarrasses my children."

The audience was immediately burst into laughter including Cate.

The actor has received the award for his leadership in championing children's and women's rights in India.

The award was organised to celebrate the achievements of outstanding artists who have shown exemplary commitment to improving the state of the world.

Along with Khan, Australian actress Cate Blanchett and English musician Elton John were also honoured.

While Blanchett was honoured for raising awareness of refugee crisis, John has received the honour for his leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

After reaching Switzerland, the superstar had enthralled his fans by sharing an image on Twitter where he was seen reliving his signature pose from Bollywood's iconic film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'.
