‘We all have to go someday’: Nana Patekar’s haunting words on life and death from four days ago resurface after his demise

Panaji/IBNS: The Indian film fraternity and fans were left shocked on Thursday after veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away at the age of 75.

Patekar died after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa.

As fans mourn the veteran actor's demise, a video from a recent event in Goa has resurfaced on social media, with Patekar's reflections on life and death leaving his followers deeply emotional.

‘I don't know whether I will be here tomorrow’

According to PTI, Patekar was seen addressing a gathering at Samraat Club International, State-I, at Taj Cidade de Goa, Dona Paula, on Sunday.

During his address, the actor praised former Goa Chief Minister late Manohar Lal Parrikar before reflecting on the uncertainty of life.

“I don't know whether I will be here tomorrow or not,” Patekar said.

Quoted by NDTV, the actor said in Marathi, “We all have to go someday. I don't know whether I will be here tomorrow or not. Every person's life will eventually reach that point. But before that happens, I have to ask myself: am I able to do what I want to do?”

The resurfaced remarks have struck an emotional chord with fans following news of the actor's death.

Nana Patekar died suffering cardiac arrest

Patekar died at the age of 75 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa on Thursday, media reports said.

According to reports, Patekar, who was living with his nephew Prasad Patekar, had complained of a headache since Wednesday night.

He was found unconscious at his residence in Dona Paula in the early hours of Thursday and was subsequently rushed to Manipal Hospital.

Doctors attempted to revive the actor for around 45 minutes, but he did not respond to the treatment. He was declared dead at around 5:20 am, according to hospital sources.

Patekar's son Malhar Patekar, who was in Pune, has reportedly left for Goa following the news of his father's death.
