Mumbai, Oct 5 (IBNS): Hindi film Loveyatri, which has been produced by superstar Salman Khan, hit the big screens on Friday.

The film features debutant actors, Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain, in the lead roles.

Aayush is Salman's brother-in-law.

The venture has been directed by Abhiraj Minawala.

The film was earlier named as Loveratri.

However, following the release of the film's trailer, Hindu organisation Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and some other citizens had demanded the change in the title, stating that it hurts "Hindu sentiments".

Bihar's Muzzafarpur court had ordered a First Information Report (FIR) be filed against Salman and seven others for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments.
