Rajesh Khanna will always remain an icon: Anil Kapoor

Mumbai, Jan 7 (IBNS): Actor Anil Kapoor on Sunday said Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna will always remain an 'icon'.

He also shared his first experience of watching Khanna's movie Anand.

The movie had also featured actor Amitabh Bachchan.

Kapoor tweeted: "Remember watching #Anand for the first time in a preview theatre & I was absolutely awestruck by #RajeshKhanna‘s performance & the film. This has always been one of my favourite films, he will always remain an icon! #LifeLongFan @mrsfunnybones @sonamakapoor @RamKMadhvani."

Rajesh Khanna is considered as one of the best actors to have ever worked in the history of Indian cinema.

He had gifted his fans several memorable movies which included Anand,Safar,Haathi Mere Saathi and Bawarchi among others.

Leaving a legacy behind, Khanna passed away on July 18, 2012.

He was 69.
