Makers release video of massive ships built for Thugs of Hindostan shooting

Mumbai, Oct 9 (IBNS): Makers of upcoming Bollywood movie Thugs Of Hindostan have unveiled a video of how two large ships were built in Malta for the principal shooting of the movie.

The trailer of the film was released recently.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: " This is truly attention grabbing... #ThugsOfHindostan team built two massive ships for the principal shoot in Malta... Watch this."

The trailer, which takes audience back to the days of British Raj in India, promises a plot with conflicts between the East India Company and the Indians who wanted to free their country from Britain.

Bachchan, who is playing the role of Khudabaksh, will be seen in the trailer fighting for India's freedom. Aamir, playing the character of Firangi, has been portrayed as seemingly loyal to Lord John Clive, who was the commander of the company.

The character of Lord Clive, who is the villain in the film, has been portrayed by British actor Lloyd Owen.

The over three-minute trailer ends with a direct conflict between Khudabaksh and Firangi, played by Bachchan and Aamir respectively.

Katrina, who is Suraiyaa in the film, could be seen in a glamarous avatar with her dancing skills. A few close scenes between Katrina and Aamir, who are working together for the third time in any project after Bombay Talkies and Dhoom 3, are tough to ignore.

Fatima's character has been named as Zafira.

Thugs of Hindostan is the first film where Bachchan and Aamir are sharing screen space. Aamir had earlier worked with Fatima in Dangal, which released in 2016.

Vijay Krishna Acharya directorial Thugs of Hindostan is set to release on Nov 8, on the occasion of festival Diwali.
