Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika's teaser to release on Gandhi Jayanti

Mumbai, Sept 29 (IBNS): Actress Kangana Ranaut starrer Hindi film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi's teaser will come out on the occasion of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary.

The teaser will be released on Oct 2.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi teaser to be released on Gandhi Jayanti [2 Oct]... 25 Jan 2019 release... #RepublicDayWeekend"

In the film, Kangana will be seen playing the role of Rani Lakshmibai, who was the Queen of Jhansi of north India (now in Uttar Pradesh).

The plot of the film is centred on Rani Lakshmibai's fight against the East India Company.

Apart from Kangana, the film stars Jisshu Sengupta in a significant role.

Krishh and Kangana directorial film is slated to release on Jan 25, 2019.
