Mumbai, Mar 5 (IBNS): Hate Story as a brand is a treat to audience that serves them with strong, edgy content that is a mix of thriller, erotica and revenge laced with chartbuster music.

And that is the reason that the franchise has been taking a big opening.

The franchise that always gets an A certificate is edgy, dark, thrilling and classy. And the director Vishal Pandya has never contested the CBFC rating.

Speaking about the adult rating, Vishal says, "The film is clearly targeted towards an adult audience. Not just erotica but even the themes of the film with revenge as its central story. The theme of the film is based on the multiple issues woman have faced and how it has built the emotion of hate in them and thus their revenge.” He further adds, "I would be very worried if the censors gave my film franchise a UA certificate." The previous installments Hate Story 2 and Hate Story 3 directed by Vishal Pandya received adult certification and yet garnered good numbers at the box office.

Vishal who confirms that he received an A certificate this time around also will also be edgier and darkest of the all the hate stories till now.

Hate Story IV, directed by Vishal Pandya, stars Urvashi Rautela, Karan Wahi, Vivan Bhatena, Ihana Dhillon and Gulshan Grover in the lead role.

Produced by T-series, the film will release on Mar 9.
