Ekta Kapoor, Imtiaz Ali collaborate to recreate love story Laila Majnu

Mumbai, Feb 14 (IBNS): Filmmaker Ekta Kapoor has announced her collaboration with director Imtiaz Ali of recreating a classic love story Laila Majnu.

The film will be releasing on May 4.

Ekta said she was excited about the collaboration.

She tweeted: "Excited to recreate the epic love story, #LailaMajnu with master storyteller Imtiaz Ali. @balajimotionpic #ImtiazAlisLailaMajnu #LailaMajnuOn4thMay."

Ali had last directed the movie  Jab Harry Met Sejal.

The film featured actors Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles.

The movie released last year.
