Deepika Padukone to work with Raazi director Meghna Gulzar

Mumbai, Oct 5 (IBNS): Actress Deepika Padukone will work for the first time with director Meghna Gulzar, whose movie Raazi had received positive responses at the box office this year.

Deepika will play the character of an acid attack survivor in the upcoming film.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted saying, "IT'S OFFICIAL... After #Padmaavat, Deepika Padukone teams up with #Raazi director Meghna Gulzar... Deepika will portray the part of an acid attack survivor in the film."

Deepika was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Padmaavat, which released early this year.

Meghna's Raazi starred actress Alia Bhatt in the lead role. Alia had played the character of a Indian spy who gets married to a Pakistani man.
