Box office collections matter to me as an actor: Kartik Aaryan

Kolkata, May 4 (IBNS): After a massive success of his film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has said the box office collections are something that matters to him.

Kartik made the comment on the sidelines of an event in the city on Friday.

Referring to the importance of having commercially successful films under the belt, Kartik said: “It matters a lot. As an actor, the box office collections matter.

“I think it helps the producers to gain the interest so that they can put in some money in the next movie. So it is an important thing to have a box office result.”

Aryan’s latest release Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, which was directed by Luv Ranjan, went past 100 cr at the Indian box office.

When asked about how he had celebrated the success of his last film, the young actor said: “I celebrated with my family and friends and also I have been blessed to travel a lot post Sonu Ke Titu ki Sweety release.

“I went to several cities, getting all the praises from the audience. I am very happy and blessed that these things are happening.” (sic)

Kartik made his first onscreen appearance with Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011.

The six-film old actor has also expressed his wish to work in Bengali films though he is presently concentrating in Hindi films.
