Bollywood celebrities appreciate Ranveer Singh, Alia's upcoming release Gully Boy

Gully Boy, which is seeing Alia Bhatt and Ranveer working together for the first time, will release on Feb 14.

It will hit the theatre at a time when the country will be in the mood of celebrating Valentine's Day.

Meanwhile, a special screening of the movie at the Yash Raj Studios was held on Monday.

Rahul Bose, who co-starred with Ranveer Singh in Zoya Akhtar's 2015 film Dil Dhadakne Do,  appreciated the actors and tweeted: "Watched #GullyBoy yesterday. It takes you into a world you know nothing about & makes you care for its people, their lives, their futures. What more can an audience ask for? Superbly directed, spot on performances, great emotional highs and lows. And banging rap - music & lyrics."

Rahula also praised Ranveer and said he put up his 'finest work yet' in this movie.

"Few more words on #GullyBoy. @RanveerOfficial finest work yet. Contained yet free, nuanced yet explosive. @aliaa08 A brilliant, achingly true performance, your heart breaks. The rest of the cast were perfectly pitched. Take a bow @jayoza : brilliant camerawork in a complex film," he said.

Actress Divya Dutta appreciated the movie and posted, "Just watched #gullyboy !! @ZoyaAkhtarOff take a bow!!! Each scene is magic unfurling!! Each actor, parexcellence!!! Thankyou n best wishes for this gem!."

In a year when the Khans-Salman,Shah Rukh and Aamir- failed to create the usual magic at the box office, Ranveer remained one of the few new age actors who kept the industry busy with two movies.

After starting the year with Padmaavat, Ranveer ended with 2018 with a bang as he returned to the big screen as a tough cop in Simmba.

The Rohit Shetty directed movie, which released on Dec 28, so far maintained its steady run at the box office.

Together with Sara Ali Khan, Ranveer Singh magic cast a massive spell on his fans as it entered the Rs. 100 crore club in just a few days after releasing on the New Year weekend.

It will be interesting to see how Ranveer continues his charm this year with his first release this month.

Yes, the nation got its newest Bollywood anthem this year with  Apna Time Aayega. The hard-hitting rap becomes more special as it has been sung by Ranveer Singh himself.

The song has been composed by Divine and Dub Sharma.

Ranveer's rapping ability makes the song more interesting for his fans who are now guessing is there anything that this superstar cannot perform in the world of entertainment.
