After getting annoyed over press, Nargis Fakhri leaves Amavas promotions midway

Mumbai, Jan 30 (IBNS): Actress Nargis Fakhri was all set to return to silver screens with horror-thriller Amavas but certainly things are not working out in her way.

Fakhri, who had flown to India from the US for the promotions of her film, reportedly got annoyed over press for asking questions related to her personal life. Consequently, the actress left the promotions midway.

A source close to the film production told Mid-day, "Nargis was present at the trailer launch on January 5, post which a string of interviews and promotional appearances on reality shows were lined up for the next 10 days. While she did her round of interviews on January 6 and 7, she refused to answer questions regarding her alleged break-up with Matt Alonzo, and the supposed rekindling of romance between Uday Chopra and her.

"Her tantrums started over the next two days - during one of the interviews, presumably irritated by the press prying into her personal life, she back-answered a reporter when asked about Uday. She also cancelled a few interviews that were slated for January 9."

Fakhri, who made her Bollywood debut with Rockstar starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor, was last seen in 5 Weddings in 2018.

She had failed to create a positive impression in last few movies like 5 Weddings and Banjo.

The actress' decision to leave the promotions reportedly shocked Amavas director Bhushan Patel and lead actor Sachiin Joshi.

Patel and Joshi are now continuing with the film promotions.

Amavas is slated to release on Feb 8.
