Delhi's records 26 pc jump with 461 new Covid cases
New Delhi: Delhi Saturday reported 461 new Covid-19 cases, 26 percent more than Friday, registering a positivity rate of 5.33 percent.
The national capital also reported two deaths during the 24-hour period, government data showed.
A private school asked parents to not send their children after a student tested positive, media reports said.
The Delhi government has asked the school authorities to close specific wings and classrooms wherever needed.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the cases in the city may have been rising but there is no need to worry as hospitalisation continues to be low.
Sisodia, who also holds the education portfolio, said the schools have been asked to follow the government's standard operating procedure if they detect any case.
