“But Assam was far behind to implement this programme. The programme was launched in 2016, but we hadn’t able to implement it in our state. We hadn’t private sector partner. Recently, we have tied up with the Apollo hospital and Apollo hospital will run this programme at 18 hospitals in the state. Union government will reimburse the cost to Apollo hospital through the Assam government. Kidney patient will get it free. We will launch this programme on June 14 at Nalbari,” Sarma said.
