The Indian market closes on higher note on Monday

Mumbai, Mar 26 (IBNS): Key Indian benchmarks closed higher on Monday with BSE Sensex up 469.87 points at 33,066.41 while NSE Nifty was up 132.65 points at 10,130.70.

According to market reports, banking and financial stocks and some positive global cues led to the higher closing on Monday.

Top gainers on Monday included Yes Bank, SBI, HDFC Bank, Idea Cellular, Tat Steel, HDFC, Bajaj Finance, and Zee Entertainment while Wipro, GAIL. HPCL, Infosys, TCS, Tata Motors (D) and Tech Mahindra, declined were some of the key stocks that declined.
