The Bengal Chamber holds 'Ratnagarbha' programme in Kolkata

Kolkata, Mar 11 (IBNS) On the occasional of International Women's Day, the Sports Development Committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a special programme “Ratnagarbha” to celebrate the ladies whose constant efforts and sacrifices have made their children illustrious leaders in their respective fields.

Subrata Dutta, Chairman of the Sports Development Committee, said: “This annual programme of the Chamber’s is a very special one, which is held to celebrate women for their continuous contribution towards the economic, political and social development of our country. We also pay special tribute to the ‘mothers’ of our ‘leading lights’ from the sectors of sport, film, music and dance.”

The “Ratnagarbha” evening saw the presence of eminent squash player Saurav Ghoshal, musician Anupam Roy, Odissi dancer Sutapa Talukdar, and actor Abir Chatterjee – all felicitating their mothers and thanking them for their constant encouragement, love and support.

Zokey Ahad ,Deputy High Commissioner for the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Kolkata, was also present on the occasion with his mother.
