Tata Teleservices launches MDM in Indian market

Kolkata, Oct 20 (IBNS): Tata Teleservices (TTL), a telecom service provider in India, announced the launch of Mobile Device Management (MDM) in the Indian market on Friday.

This product addresses concerns that CIOs across the country have voiced with regard to data security over mobile devices, workforce productivity and most importantly, BYOD (Bring Your Own Device).

It is a telecom service provider solution and can be deployed quickly, in hassle-free simple steps.

The MDM service ensures a secure access to official data and emails over mobile devices, easy data recovery in case of theft/ lost device scenarios, management of tablets and smart phone devices across multiple Operating Systems (OS).

Unlike similar applications, customers will not need to incur CAPEX to procure this service since it will be available on monthly rental model as well.

Once devices are on-boarded, the remote MDM administrator can view diagnostics and remotely manage and monitor the mobile ecosystem through a Central Management Console.

Speaking on the launch of MDM, Prateek Pashine, President - Enterprise Business, Tata Teleservices, said “Enterprise mobility is the need of the hour today but it comes with a host of challenges. With more employees accessing company information on mobile devices, the challenge for CIOs has increased significantly. Most organisations have made sizeable investments in terms of securing access to company information through laptops and PCs and are exploring ways to secure data and applications on the mobile phones and tablets. In these days of BYOD, a device management that works across handsets, operating systems and service providers and easy to configure is the need of the hour, and Tata Docomo’s MDM does just that.”
