Tata Power honoured with 3 National Awards at 16th CII National Award for Energy Management 2015
These categories include ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Unit’ and ‘Most Useful Presentation’. Tata Power’s Haldia plant has also been awarded in the ‘Energy Efficient Unit’ category. The awards ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Ajay Mathur, Director General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
The ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Unit’ was awarded to Tata Power Trombay Thermal Power Station for its strong commitment to the environment which addresses various aspects of resource conservation, energy efficiency, carbon footprint, renewable power generation and biodiversity.
Of the 264 nominated companies in the category, 127 companies were shortlisted and requested to give a presentation. A panel of 37 respectable judges from various sectors adjudged Tata Power as the winner in this category. Tata Power Trombay Thermal Power Station also won the ‘Most Useful Presentation’ Award which was adjudged by all the participants in the competition.
