Tata Motors brings 'Truck World' to Kolkata

Kolkata, Sept 11 (IBNS): Furthering initiatives for an enhanced customer purchase experience for its commercial vehicle offerings, Tata Motors hosted its 'Truck World: Advanced Trucking Expo' at Nicco Parks and Resorts Ltd, Salt Lake, in Kolkata.

A unique format, ‘Truck World’ offers Tata Motors and its partners with communicative and promotional opportunities, about the company’s extensive range of commercial vehicle products and services, to trucking customers and their families, in the city centre, all under one roof.

Having been inaugurated on Thursday, the 3-day ‘Truck World’ expo, will enable Tata Motors to also showcase its experience in the trucking business, with latest trucking technologies, vehicle design, quality, reliability and safety.

The event comprises of separate areas for product display, hospitality, entertainment, engagement activities and common facilities for customers and visitors. At ‘Truck World’ Kolkata, Tata Motors will showcase over 29 medium and heavy commercial vehicles, its own service related brands like Tata Genuine Parts, Tata Delight and Tata FleetMan.

Tata Motors’ key vendors partners, financers and value-added service providers are also present at the Expo.

The Advanced Trucking Expo is also conducting engagement activities and service related workshops for customers, mechanics and drivers. A truck-art zone will host an artist creating colorful patterns, depictions, calligraphy of verses on a Tata truck – an illustration of ‘moving art’ under which various parts of the vehicles have been decorated differently. Furthermore, various entertainment activities have also been organized at the Nicco Parks and Resorts Ltd, for the families of visitors.

Having attracted a crowd of over 8000 truckers and their families at Truck World expo’s held in Gurgaon, Vijayawada and Salem so far, in coming months Tata Motors also plans to organise these expos in other trucking centres across the country, with the next Expo being planned in Bhubaneshwar from Sept 23 to 25.

For an enhanced product experience, Tata Motors also hosts the T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship 2015, recently concluding season 2, at India's F1 race track-the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Greater Noida.

The championship featured 12 Tata Prima race trucks built for the purpose, driven by experienced international drivers representing six teams, competing against each other.


Furthermore, Tata Motors continues to invest in its products, its sales & service network, redesigning, developing & deploying modern dealerships, with an aggressive customer centric approach of anticipating customer requirements.

With over 1800+ touchpoints across the country, the company hopes to develop and deploy effective modern dealership models, to significantly improve customer experience and convenience across its network, while also improving penetration and driving quality, building strong, lasting relationships with its customers.


With Truck World, Tata Motors is adding yet another exciting new dimension to one of the largest commercial vehicles markets in the world.
