Mumbai, Apr 22 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday tumbled down by 238 points at 38,902.27 in opening trade, barring Technology and IT selling pressure was seen across the board.Mumbai, Apr 22 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday tumbled down by 238 points at 38,902.27 in opening trade, barring Technology and IT selling pressure was seen across the board.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too dropped by 86.45 points to 11,666.35.

The sensex registered intra day high and low at 39,158.22 and 38,827.55 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 11,727.05 and 11,646 points respectively.

The losers were Yes Bank by 3.84 pc to Rs 245.50, Reliance Industries by 1.93 pc to Rs 1356.25, IndusInd Bank by 1.93 pc to Rs 1730, Axis Bank by 1.79 pc to Rs 757.40 and Asian Paints by 1.26 pc to Rs 1446.95.

The gainers were TCS by 1 pc to Rs 2167, Powergrid by 0.88 pc to Rs 195.90, HCL Technology by 0.89 pc to Rs 1109.55 and Tata Motors DVR by 0.84 pc to Rs 114.60.
