Select heavyweight stocks boost Indian benchmark indices on Wednesday

Mumbai, Feb 21 (IBNS): Indian benchmark indices ended higher on Wednesday with Sensex up by 141.27 points at 33844.86 and NSE Nifty up 37.10 points at 10397.50.

Although the indices threatened to go flat towards the early hours of business but managed to post gains largely boosted by a few index heavyweights, reports said.

HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, TCS, SBI, Infosysy, ITC and ONGC were some of the top gainers on Wednesday while Sun Pharma, Hindalco, Bajaj Finance, IndusInd Bank, BHEL, Tta Motors and Tata Steel were some of the key stocks that declined.
