SC asks Mysore lab to clarify tests on Maggi
The apex court also directed the Mysore lab to clarify whether the samples of Maggi noodles tested showed containing monosodium glutamate or MSG in safe limits.
Five months after it went out of shelf following a ban,Maggi noodles came back to market in November last year.
In June, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) had banned Maggi noodle products saying it was "unsafe and hazardous" for consumption after finding lead levels beyond permissible limits. The company had withdrawn the instant noodle brand from the market.
