PM Modi inaugurates Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence 2018

Mumbai, Feb 18 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated Global Investors' Summit, Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence 2018, in the financial capital of the country.

Magnetic Maharashtra is the investors' summit organised every year by the state government.

Modi was received by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the city airport.

Speaking at the event, Modi said: "The Maharashtra government has taken several unprecedented steps to create an atmosphere of business in the state."

He has also pitched in the "reform, transform, perform" goal at the summit. "The reforms undertaken by the Devendra Fadnavis government played a big role in transforming Maharashtra" the PM said.

"We believe potential, policy, planning and performance leads to progress" he added.

Modi has stated that the aim of the budget is not "output" but "outcomes".

He said: "Our budget is not limited to outlay and output. Focus of our budget is on 'outcomes'."
