Petrol, diesel prices hiked

New Delhi, Oct 15 (IBNS): Making things tough for consumers, petrol and diesel prices were hiked on Saturday, officials said.

While petrol price was increased by Rs. 1.34 per litre, diesel rate was hiked by Rs.2.37 per litre.

The new prices will come  effect from midnight.

"Increase in Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 1.34/litre (excluding State levies)," state-run Indian Oil Corporation (IOC)  said in a statement.

" Increase in Selling Price of Diesel by Rs. 2.37/litre (excluding State levies)," it said.
