Nifty ended flat on Thursday but above the psychological 8600-mark

Mumbai, Oct 27 (IBNS): Indian markets closed Thursday with marginal gains owing to weak global cues and asset quality concerns capping the upside, according to media reports.

Sensex was up 79.39 points at 27915.90 and Nifty closed flat at 8615.25.

Some of the key stocks that gained on Thursday were HDFC, ITC, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel. Dr Reddys Labs and Cipla while Asian Paints, Hero Motocorp, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, SBI, Lupin and Wipro were among the losers.
