Markets reported gains on Friday

Mumbai, Jul 22 (IBNS): The Indian markets ended as a gainer on Friday, with Sensex up 92.72 points to 27803.24 and Nifty up up 31.10 points to 8541.20
However, with market leader ITC Ltd reporting strong quarterly earnings, the stock put in a good performance, which helped offset lacklustre performance by banking and IT sectors.
 
On Friday, Tata Motors, HDFC, L&T, Cipla and Lupin were top gainers while Bajaj Auto, SBI, HUL, Sun Pharma and Wipro ended as losers.
