Mumbai, Mar 10 (IBNS): L&T’s Metallurgical and Material Handling (L&T-MMH) business has secured orders worth Rs. 1242 crores across various business segments during Q4 of FY 14-15.

L&T–MMH has won EPC orders from SENAAT General Holding Corporation, Abu Dhabi, for its 240000 TPA Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW) Pipe Mill project and 20000 TPA Seamless Copper Tube Plant project both located at Abu Dhabi.

Finished products from the plants will cater to the requirements of the oil & gas and utilities industries respectively.

"Winning these prestigious international orders only affirms our capability to manufacture high-end equipment for the metallurgical sector", said Shailendra Roy, L&T’s Whole-time Director.

He said: "Metallurgical and Material Handling business maintains its leadership position by offering complete solutions in heavy fabrication, intricate castings, precision machining and critical assemblies. The orders won from SENAAT are clear signs of opening of international market in the metallurgical segment.”

In the domestic arena, L&T MMH won orders from HPCL – Mittal Energy Limited and other add on packages from its existing customers
