Key Indian benchmark indices close higher on Thursday

Mumbai: The Indian market closed higher on Thursday but were off the day's high with investors selling off towards the end of day.  All sectoral indices ended the day in positive territory.

BSE Sensex was up 284.20 points at 35463.08, and NSE Nifty was up 83.70 points at 10768.40.

Some of the top gainers on Thursday were Idea Cellular, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Wipro and Asian Paints while Titan Company, IndusInd Bank, SBI, Eicher Motors, Coal India, NTPC and Kotak Mahindra reported loss.
