Indian market ends flat prior to festive weekend

Mumbai, Sep 29 (IBNS): The Indian market ended flat on Friday after failing to hang on its intra-day gains. according to media reports.

The BSE Sensex was up 1.24 points at 31,283.72 and the 50-share NSE Nifty was up 19.65 points at 9,788.60.

Top gainers included Bajaj Auto, GAIL, Bharti Airtel, Eicher Motors, Adani Ports, M&M, Idea Cellular, Aurobindo Pharma and Coal India while HUL, Wipro, TCS, Dr Reddy's Lab, and ITC declined.
