Indian market closes lower on Thursday
Mumbai, Jun 8 (IBNS): The Indian market closed lower on Thursday, with BSE Sensex down 57.92 points at 31,213.36 and NSE Nifty down 16.65 points to 9,647.25.
The market attributed the decline partly to global cues, such as UK General Elections, ECB rate decision and former FBI Director James Comey's testimony due later on Thursday, according to media reports.
Some of the key stocks that gained on Thursday were Dr Reddy's Labs, Sun Pharma, HDFC, Cipla and Tata Steel while TCS, GAIL, Asian Ppaints, Hero Motocorp and ICICI Bank declined.
