Indian benchmark indices recover sharply on Thursday

Mumbai, Feb 8 (IBNS): The Indian market recovered sharply on Thursday after seven consecutive negative sessions though it failed to cling to the day's high, according to media reports.

BSE Sensex was up 330.45 points at 34,413.16, and NSE Nifty was up 100.20 points at 10,576.90.

Top gainers included Cipla, Sun Pharma, Ambuja Cements, Dr Reddy's Labs, SBI, Infosys, Axis Bank and Bharti Infratel while Aurobindo Pharma, Power Grid Corp, NTPC, Tata Motors, Adani Ports, ITC and ONGC declined.
