Indian benchmark indices post fresh record closing high on Thursday

Mumbai, Jan 11 (IBNS): Although Indian benchmark indices failed to hold on to their day's high, still they managed to end Thursday on record closing high.

BSE Sensex ended was up 70.42 points at 34,503.49 and the NSE Niftywas up 19 points at 10,651.20.

Top gainers included Inosys,Tech Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra, HDFC, Asian Paints and Tata Power while IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Wipro, Ambuja Cements, Bajaj Finance, Hero Motocorp and Cipla declined.
