Indian benchmark indices gain on Thursday

Mumbai, Dec 29 (IBNS): The Indian market reported gains on Thursday with BSE Sensex up 155.47 points at 26366.15 and NSE Nifty up 68.75 points at 8103.60.

With the rupee recovering , the market ended December Futures and Options (F&O) series on a firm note on Thursday.

A sudden leap in buying towards the close of the day also boosted the indices, media reported.

Some of the key stocks that gained on Thursday were Maruti, HDFC, Tata Motors, TCS and Bharti Airtel while Infosys, Adani Ports, Sun Pharma, L&T and BHEL declined.
