Mumbai, May 6 (IBNS) Indian benchmark indices ended lower at close of market on Friday with Sensex down 33.71 points at 25228.50 and the Nifty down 2.05 points at 7733.45 largely due to a lacklustre performance from FMCG, metal, IT and auto stocks.

The Indian market remained cautious about the outcome of the US jobs data expected later today.

Some of the gainers on Friday were GAIL, BHEL, SBI, Tata Motors and Hindalco while the losers included Adani Ports, Dr Reddy's, Wipro, ONGC and HDFC Bank.

On a weekly basis, the indices recorded their second weekly fall with Sensex dipping 378.12 points and Nifty down 116.45 points.
