Indian benchmark indices closes lower on Friday
Mumbai, Feb 9 (IBNS): Indian benchmark indices closed lower on Friday after reporting gains the day before, according to media reports.
BSE Sensex was down 407.40 points at 34,005.76 and NSE Nifty was down 121.90 points at 10,455.
Prior to Thursday, the market had closed lower for seven successive sessions.
Top gainers included HCL Tech, Tata Steel, Cipla, Lupin, Asian Paints, HUL, TCS and Dr Reddys Labs while Yes Bank, Bharti Infratel, Infosys, Idea Cellular, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and HDFC declined.
