Indian benchmark indices close negative on Tuesday

Mumbai, Jan 30 (IBNS): The Indian market, on Tuesday, closed negative on Tuesday largely influenced by profit booking and weak global cues, media reports said.

BSE Sensex was down 249.52 points at 36,033.73  while NSE Nifty  was down 80.70 points at 11,049.70.

Top gainers on Tuesday included HPCL, BPCL, Coal India, Hero Motocrop, SBI, IndusInd Bank and Sun Pharma while Eicher Motors, Bharti Infratel, Kotak Mahindra, UPL Axis Bank, Adani Ports, Dr Reddy's Labs and Asian Paints were some of the key stocks that declined.
