Indian benchmark indices close higher on Tuesday, NSE Nifty crosses 10,000 mark
Mumbai, Oct 10 (IBNS): The Indian market closed higher on Tuesday with the NSE Nifty crossing the psychological 10,000 mark, according to media reports.
BSE Sensex was up 77.52 points at 31,924.41 and NSE Nifty was up 28.20 points at 10,016.95.
Top gainers included Lupin, UPL, Axis Bank, Reliance, Power Grid Corp, Coal India and infosys while ICICI Bank, Idea Cellular, Tata Steel, Eicher Motors, Ambuja Cement, Vedanta, HUL, ITC and Sun Pharma declined.
