Indian benchmark indices close flat on Wednesday

Mumbai, Jan 24 (IBNS): The Indian market drew to a lacklustre close on Wednesday, with BSE Sensex up 15.75 points at 36155.73and NSE Nifty up 2.30 points at 11086.00.

Top gainers included SBI, GAIL, Tech Mahindra, Adani Ports, ITC, Yes Bank and TCS while Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, Tata Motors, Tata Motors (D), ICICI Bank,Tata Steel and Eicher Motors were among the key stocks that declined.


Meanwhile leading Telecom company Idea Cellular widened its net loss for the December quarter to Rs 1,284 crore from Rs 1,106 crore posted in the same period last year, according to media reports.
