ICAI holds Annual Convocation ceremony all across the country
Kolkata, Jan 25 (IBNS) The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organised its annual convocation on Wednesday to award certificates of membership to over 650 new members and facilitate 04 rank holders of the recent CA examinations at G D Birla Sabhaghar, Kolkata.
The programme commenced with the Institute’s Motto and Saraswati Vandana
The gathering was addressed by CA.(Dr.) Debashis Mitra, Central Council Member and Lead Coodinator, ICAI, CA. Sushil Kumar Goyal, Central Council Member, ICAI and CA.Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, Central Council Member, ICAI . Oath taking ceremony was administrated by CA.(Dr.) Debashis Mitra, Central Council Member an d Lead Coordinator.
In their recorded speech, CA.Vikamsey Nilesh Shivji, President, ICAI and CA. Gupta Naveen N. D., Vice-President, ICAI have emphasized the emerging scenario of the competitive world. In his speech, The President outlined the emerging opportunities of the profession and the responsibilities of the members in the nation building exercise. He inspired the newly enrolled members to pursue their cherished dreams as well as to transform the society.
The Convocations at the other 4 regions i.e. East, West, South & Central & North regions of ICAI were also organized same day at 8 centres.
The Institute functions under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
Speaking at the event ICAI spokesperson -CA.(Dr.)Debashis Mitra, Central Council Member and Lead Coordinator said, “I would like to offer my congratulations to all the new members and awardees today. I welcome you to the fraternity of chartered accountants and wish you success in all your endeavors as you move ahead in your career as accountancy professionals”
