Hero Motocorp sells 685,047 units of motorcycles, scooters in August
New Delhi, Sept 2 (IBNS): Keeping up the momentum of strong performance, Hero MotoCorp, automobile manufacturer, on Sunday said it has reported yet another month of strong sales.
Riding on sustained demand for its range of motorcycles and scooters, Hero MotoCorp sold 685,047 units in August 2018. The Company had sold 678,797 units of two-wheelers in the corresponding month of the previous fiscal.
Hero MotoCorp has sold a record 3,469,661 units of two-wheelers in the first five months (Apr-Aug’18) of this financial year (FY’19), thereby clocking a growth of 10% over the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, when the Company had sold 3,141,551 units.
In August, Hero MotoCorp commenced dispatch of its new premium motorcycle, the Xtreme 200R, to dealerships across the country. The Xtreme 200R is attractively priced at Rs. 89,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Hero MotoCorp will soon launch two new 125cc scooters to provide more excitement during the upcoming festive season.
With the peak festive season coming in the months of October and November this year, the Company expects to maintain the trajectory with healthy double-digit growth in the coming months.
Reiterating its commitment towards the rehabilitation efforts in flood-affected Kerala, Hero MotoCorp has initiated special benefits for its customers in the state.
The Company has waived off the fees towards the check-up and repair of Hero MotoCorp motorcycle and scooters across all its dealerships and authorized service centers in Kerala. The customers are also being offered a discount of 30% on Hero genuine spare parts. The services are available until September 9, 2018 in the state.
In addition to contributing Rs. One Crore to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund, the Company has also provided relief material consisting of food items, tents, medicines, water filters, blankets, hygiene kits, kitchen sets etc. to the relief camps in the state.
Hero MotoCorp is also working with the authorities to repair schools and organise school uniforms and bags for the students.
