Gains in major pharma stocks help the Indian market to close flat

Mumbai, Jun 7 (IBNS): The Indian market closed flat on Friday after a volatile day of trading, with BSE Sensex managing to recoup some of the loss thanks to some good performance in the pharma sector, according to market reports.

BSE Sensex fell 19.41 points at 35443.67 and NSE Nifty fell 0.70 points at 10767.70.

Some of the key stocks that posted gain on Friday were Sun Pharma, Lupin, Dr Reddy's Labs, Cipla, Tata Motors, SBI, Reliance and Idea Cellular while Hindalco, Power Grid Corp, Axis Bank, HDFC, ITC, Asian Paints, BPCL and Grasim were some of the top losers.
