Stampede at Ethiopia kills 50
Addis Ababa, Oct 3 (IBNS): At least 50 people were killed during a protest at a religious festival in Ethiopia's Oromia region, media reports said.
According to reports, several others were injured in the incident.
Some died in a stampede after police employed tear gas, rubber bullets and baton charges, a witnesses was quoted as saying by BBC.
Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has denied reports that security forces had opened fire during the incident.
