NATO condemns terror attacks in Brussels

Brussels, Mar 23 (IBNS): The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on Wednesday condemned the terrorist attacks in Belgium's Brussels city which left over 30 people killed while injures scores on Tuesday.
"We condemn in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks in Brussels. We express our condolences to the families of the victims, to the injured, and to all those affected," it said in a statement.
 
Brussels is the home of NATO headquarters and the capital of Belgium and Europe. It is also a symbol of a Europe whole, free and at peace.
 
"We will defend our values against the callous acts of those who seek to strike against them," the statement said.
 
"We are resolute in our determination to prevent and defeat terrorism. We will do this by standing together, as open societies and as democracies," it said.
 
The Organization also mentioned that it stands in solidarity with Belgium.
