Pyongyang, Aug 30 (IBNS): North Korean leader Kim Jong-un ordered public execution of two senior bureaucrats with anti-aircraft guns, reports said.

South Korean newspaper JoongAng Ilbo reported that while one official was executed for falling asleep while attending a meeting with Kim, the other was handed the death sentence for proposing theories which presents a direct challenge to Kim's leadership.

The two have been identified as Ri Yong-jin and Hwang Min respectively.

Ri was an officer in the education ministry, while Min served in the agriculture ministry.

Both men were executed at a military academy in Pyongyang, North Korea's capital.
