Malaysian police arrest IS suspects

Kuala Lumpur, Aug 13 (IBNS): Malaysian police have arrested nine IS militants, suspected to have a role in a bar attack which took place in Kuala Lumpur in June, reports said.

Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Baker said that they recovered a grenade from the arrested militants.

"Following an from their arrest, police managed to seize a grenade, and it was suspected it would have been used in a planned attack," Baker was quoted as saying in the media.

Reports also quoted police officials as saying that around 230 people, including 200 Malaysians, have been arrested so far since 2013, owing to terror links.
