Germany: Masked gunman shot dead after opening fire at cinema complex
Frankfurt, June 23 (IBNS): A masked gunman on Thursday opened fire and wounded about 20-50 people at a cinema complex in the small western German town of Viernheim near Frankfurt in Germany, media reports said.
The police stormed into the complex and shot dead the man, the Mannheimer Morgen newspaper reported, citing the interior minister of Hesse state.
The incident reportedly happened at around 3 pm local time (1500 GMT).
The motive behind the attack remains unclear so far.
