Patna, Sept 14 (The Bihar Post/IBNS): A schoolboy in Bihar committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan after he failed to pay his school fees.

The shocking incident took place in Rupaspur locality of Patna town on Tuesday, sending shock waves in the areas.

Reports said Vishal Kumar, a class student enrolled in a local private school, was quite disturbed after the school administration threatened not to allow him sit in the examination when he failed to pay the school fees due to his poor financial condition.

His family had somehow paid Rs 2,000 against the total dues of Rs 12,000 and had promised to clear the dues very soon.

“But the school administration went on torturing my son for the dues. Ultimately, he did not resist the pressures and hanged himself to death,” victim’s wailing mother Sona Devi told the police. Victim’s parents are daily wage earners.

The police have registered a case and are probing the matter, said a local police official Rajesh Singh.
