Bengaluru/IBNS: UP Warriorz Women defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women in the Women's Premier League (WPL) in Super Over in a thriller at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday.

RCB failed to score beyond only four chasing UPW's target of nine in the Super Over.

The dramatic shift in the match occurred with Sophie Ecclestone slamming a fiery 33 from 19 balls and Saima Thakor's 14 from 8 balls powered UPW to level RCB W's score of 180.

Saima was run out in a bid to clinch the last run in the final ball leading the match to the Super Over.

UPW stormed back to the match with Sophie and Saima's efforts after the side were reduced to 134-8 in 16.2 overs.

Earlier, Ellyse Perry's 90 from 56 balls and Wyatt-Hodge's 57 powered RCB W to 180-6 in 20 overs.
