Rio De Jeniro, July 14 (IBNS) Argentina captain Lionel Messi, who might not guide his team to victory in the World Cup final on Sunday night, but clinched the Golden Ball for his performance in the tournament.

Colombia's James Rodriguez  won the Golden Boot award . It is given to the top goalscorer of the FIFA World Cup.

Germany's Manuel Neuer won the Golden Glove award for his outstanding performance in the tournament.

Germany beat Argentina to win the World Cup on Sunday .
